1 – BAGGAGE

1. embarked baggage: this is the checked in baggage on the passenger’s ticket, with a sticky label and under the company’s responsibility. Only clothes are allowed inside this kind of baggage. Valuables, documents, jewels, electronic tools etc.. cannot be loaded in this baggage.

Pegasus Airlines does not take any responsibility for damages caused by:

• Scratches, holes or cuts

• Humidity

• Damage on wheels, handles, straps or baggage locks

• Damages causes by wrong placing of heavy objects

 

Each adults and child travelling in the economy class may take a 20 Kg. baggage on connection domestic flights to international flights, and 20 kg. baggage on international flights. Any baggage overweight fee amounts to 5 Euro per Kilo and flight. Babies under 2 years are not allowed to take baggage.

2. hand baggage: this is the baggage every passenger may take on board. Every passenger is allowed to take a small hand baggage (20 cm x 40 cm x 55 cm) not over 5 Kilos weight.
   

The following objects can be taken on board without fare. If there is no room in the cabin, this baggage will be loaded at the check in.

• 1 travel bag

• 1 jacket or coat, shawl, scarf or blanket

• 1 Duty Free bag

• 1 umbrella (not pointed) or walking stick

• 1 children’s stroller (it can be embarked)

• 1 small video-camera or telescope

• Books and newspapers

• Closable wheel-chair or crutches (to be embarked)

• Baby food to use during the flight and a carryco

2 - BABIES AND CHILDREN

Passengers aged 0 to 24 months are considered babies. Babies younger than one week are not allowed to travel, even if an adult travels with them. According to security laws an adult can travel only with one baby.

Babies aged between 8 days and 24 months:

• They must travel together with a parent / adult

• They have to pay special baby fares

• They are not allowed travel only with a flight assistant.

Children aged between 2 and 7

• They are allowed to travel only with an adult

• They can travel with a parent and/or an adult

• They cannot travel only with a flight assistant

• They can take advantage of special reduced tickets
  

Children aged between 7 and 13

• They can travel alone

• They can take advantage of special reduced tickets

Children who travel alone must have a permit signed by their parents or legal guardian. A special form, called “Authorization to travel for non accompanied children” have to be signed by a parent or the legal guardian. Minors have to be accompanied to the plane by the ground crew and left to the stewards’ care. Parents must wait inside the airport until the plane has taken off. After the landing the minor will be accompanied by the crew to meet the waiting person.

3 -CHECK IN
Pegasus passengers flying on domestic flights are requested to check in no later than 30 minutes before domestic departures, and no later than 45 minutes for international flights. Passengers who have not checked in within this time will not be allowed to depart. Passengers on domestic flights must be identified through a valid document with photo (identity card), while passengers for international flights need a passport or a valid identity card.

4 - DOMESTIC ANIMALS
You can write to: assistenzaclienti@flypgs.it, in order to book for a domestic animal you want to travel with. In this category we include only cats and dogs. Pets are allowed into the plane only if they travel inside a cage (55x40x20 cm.) brought by the passenger. Passengers travelling with animals must provide the following: a health certificate which includes every vaccination, as well as an identity card. ( a valid passport is requested for EU travellers with animals). The animal’s total weight (in the cage) cannot exceed 5 Kilos.

No more than two dogs (mother and puppy) or two cats in the same cage are allowed to travel. No more than two pets are allowed to travel in the airplane cabin. The pets must be clean, healthy and odourless. If the pet is agitated, aggressive or sick, the ground crew may refuse to embark it. Pets which are not allowed to travel on board, will be weighted with their cage, and if the total weight exceeds 5 Kilos, the owner must pay an extra fare for this, even if he has no other luggage on board. Pets are not considered as free hand baggage.

5 - PREGNANT WOMEN
Pregnant women (from 28th to 32nd pregnancy week) are requested to take a medical certificate, permitting them to fly without risk. The certificate must be not older than one week before the departure’s date. Pregnant women who already are in their 32nd week are not allowed to fly.

6 - EXTRA SEATS
Passengers who need an extra seat can ask for it. An extra seat costs as much as a passenger’s seat. For any further information, please contact us at: assistenzaclienti@flypgs.it.

7 - TRANSPORTABLE OBJECTS AND GOODS
Passenger who want to transport musical instruments or sport equipment on board, can write to our staff at assistenzaclienti@flypgs.it .
Here you can get every information about the objects you can transport. Golf equipment, water ski or winter ski not exceeding 10 kilos weight are transportable for free; a special fare will be imposed for each Kilo over 10.

For any further information, please contact us at: assistenzaclienti@flypgs.it. Wheelchairs and crutches are allowed on board and they are not considered as free hand baggage (max. 10 Kilos).
Objects and musical instruments are considered as hand baggage, provided that they can pass through the door and in the corridor, and their weight cannot exceed 75 Kilos, anyway an extra seat is requested.

8 - PASSENGERS WITH SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Only deaf passengers are allowed to travel alone. Sightless or passengers or those with very poor eyesight are allowed to travel with a guide or a dog. Guide dogs belonging to sightless passengers can travel inside the cabin for free. Passengers with other special needs (also for their dogs) can contact us at: assistenzaclienti@flypgs.it.

OXYGEN BOTTLES
We cannot supply passengers with oxygen bottles. Oxygen bottles are allowed on board only if their valves are open.
